Notes from the other side of the world...

Here are a few more pictures from the festival. Again they are not for the faint of heart!





I took this one because as the individuals were walking along the road carrying these offereings, the world was just passing them by! It was again one of those ironic moments where old world meets new world.



This one is amazing! The man was pulling the altar behind him with these huge hooks, that were attached to ropes, in his skin. Then, there was a man pulling on the ropes the entire time to keep them tight...I had a hard time watching this one.



I have had a little bit of time to reflect on what we saw that day and I keep coming back to the commitment and faith these individuals were showing. I am truely amazed!
